Mixed Netball

Mixed Netball comes to Cambridgeshire!

A mixed Netball festival was held on 5^th March 2023, at Estover Playing fields in March, Cambridgeshire

8 teams from across Cambridgeshire and adjoining counties competed in this first ever mixed tournament.  Games took place across two courts, at the community venue in Estover, March.  A great sporting venue with café facilities and plenty of parking.

The festival was delivered through a round robin format, with each team playing each other.
The teams that participated were Whittlesey Warriors, Skillz, Zodiacs, UEA, Switch, Witchford, Ladybirds and Harlequins.

All teams ware amazing!  Male players played in the GS, GK and Centre positions.  Some of the men had never stepped onto a netball court before but following guidance and tips from the coaches and umpires, they took to the court like ducks to water and played well.

After a day of great netball, finishing on 33 points, team ‘Skillz’ were crowned champions. A presentation followed with the players receiving medals.
