National Schools

The National Schools Competition is the biggest schools competition in the netball calendar. Competition for the National Schools Netball Championships begin in late September/ early October with school teams in each of the age groups, U14, U16 and U19, taking part in local area rounds.

Schools then progress to county rounds and the winners and runners up in each section qualify for the Regional Finals. 

East Regional Schools will be taking place Saturday 28th January 2023 at Stanborough School, Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.

At the Regional Round, specially trained talent scouts will be on the look out for exceptional players who will be added to the National Talent programme for potential England players. As well as talent spotting players, use is made of the tournament to develop up and coming umpires who will be receiving mentoring from existing top flight umpires so helping to improve the standards in local leagues.

At the end of the day after 6 pool matches and a semi final, the East Champions and the runner up will go on to represent the East in the National Finals.  The National finals will take place on Saturday 11th March (U16 and U19) and Sunday 12th March 2023  (U14) at Oundle School
