Umpire Courses
Officiating Courses and Mentoring support are available across the region, through each county.
Before progressing to the final practical assessment at each level of award, candidates must have undertaken the appropriate umpire course and have passed the written assessment for that stage. Details of how to apply and then proceed to an award will be given by the tutor(s) on each officiating course.

INTO OFFICIATING
BOOK NOWThe Young Umpire Award and Beginner Award umpiring courses have merged and will now be known as ‘Into Officiating’.
The details of the new course are below. To introduce the rudiments of umpiring a netball match at junior/youth/adult level in a club environment and preparing candidates for assessment process.

C AWARD
BOOK NOWTo prepare umpires with knowledge of rules and umpire competencies to umpire at average adult club level. Candidates need to gain experience on proper match play and then apply to be assessed for the ‘C’ award.

B AWARD
BOOK NOWTo prepare ‘C’ umpires with knowledge of rules and umpire competencies to umpire at good club, county, regional or national level. Pre- assessment is required prior to putting in an application for final ‘B’ Award assessment.

A AWARD

TECHNICAL OFFICIALS COURSE
BOOK NOWTo prepare individuals with knowledge of rules, procedures, protocols and umpire competencies to be able to act as a Match Bench Official at club, county, regional and national level. It is recommended that individuals have some knowledge of umpiring.
